Aanya Subramaniam
Technical Associate I in the MIT Department of Biological Engineering
Aanya’s work focuses on the MIT MAESTRO clinical study and investigating the differences and similarities between Chronic Lyme and Long COVID. She helps build our biobank and analyze participant samples. Additionally, she conducts in vitro assays in the lab for various projects. Aanya earned her bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology at Scripps College. Previously, she has researched mitophagy pathways related to Parkinson’s disease pathology with Dr. Derek Narendra at the NIH, and studied selfish chromosomes and genome elimination in Nasonia vitripennis with Dr. Patrick Ferree at the W.M. Keck Science Department. Outside of the lab, Aanya enjoys reading, painting, and learning new languages.
