Vanessa Kremer
Postdoctoral Researcher in the MIT Department of Biological Engineering
Vanessa Krémer, PhD, is an immunologist with research experience in innate immunity and autoimmunity. Her work focuses on how immune profiles, including antibody signatures, shape disease trajectories.
During her Master’s studies in Molecular Life Sciences in Germany, Vanessa’s interest in immunology developed, leading her to work as a research associate at ETH Zurich before pursuing a PhD in Immunology and Infection Biology through the Pasteur–Paris University International Doctoral Program at the Institut Pasteur. Her doctoral research focused on neutrophil biology and immune heterogeneity, combining experimental immunology with interdisciplinary microfluidic approaches.
Outside the lab, you might find Vanessa climbing or hiking, or working on creative projects alongside her research, including illustrating scientific books for children.
